One Year to Earn Your Trust: eligibility and terms

Last updated September 28, 2026

In plain language

If you become a client, stay for at least a full year, and then decide to leave, we’ll refund the advisory fees you paid De Thomas Wealth Management during your first twelve months. The refund covers our advisory fees only. It does not cover investment losses, fund or product fees, costs charged by other firms, or taxes.

1. Who is eligible

  1. The offer is available to individuals and families who become new clients of De Thomas Wealth Management Corp. (“De Thomas”, “we”) while the offer is in effect. You are a new client if no member of your household has held an account with us in the 24 months before your first account is opened.
  2. Your household must have at least $1,000,000 in investable assets held in accounts with us within 90 days of opening your first account.
  3. The refund applies to fee-based accounts on which you pay De Thomas an advisory fee directly (“eligible accounts”). Accounts where we are compensated only through commissions or fees embedded in investment products are not eligible accounts.
  4. One refund is available per household.

2. The refund period

  1. The refund period is the twelve months beginning on the date your first eligible account is funded.
  2. To qualify, you must remain a client for the full refund period. The refund is not available if you close or transfer out of your eligible accounts before the end of the refund period.

3. How to request the refund

  1. Tell us in writing (email is fine) within 90 days after the end of the refund period that you are ending the relationship and requesting the refund.
  2. Transfer out or close all of your household’s accounts with us within that same 90-day window.
  3. We will pay the refund within 30 days after your accounts have been closed or transferred, to the account holder(s) of record, by cheque or electronic transfer.

4. What is refunded

The advisory fees charged by De Thomas on your eligible accounts for the refund period, as shown on your account statements, less any fees already rebated or waived.

5. What is not refunded

6. General

  1. The refund is a courtesy offered by De Thomas. It does not change the fees, disclosures or terms in your account agreements, which continue to apply.
  2. We may change or end this offer for new clients at any time. Changes will not affect clients whose first eligible account was funded before the change.
  3. We will apply these terms consistently and in good faith. If there is any question about eligibility, we will explain our decision in writing.
  4. Refunds may be subject to applicable tax reporting. We recommend speaking with your tax advisor about the treatment of any refund.
  5. This offer is subject to applicable securities laws and regulatory requirements.
